eSpark and iPads – $20,000

The aim of this grant was to expand the successful eSpark individualized learning program that the second grade had been piloting for the prior two years, to include every 1st, 2nd and 3rd grader at Whitson Elementary. That initial pilot showed:

• 1st semester rate of academic growth 56% higher than expected. 
• Teachers appreciated the insight that eSpark gave them into students' progress, and the ease with which they could create individualized learning plans.
• Students loved eSpark; even struggling students found an avenue to success. 

eSpark is an educational software platform which helps teachers deliver highly individualized instruction using curated educational iPad apps.
