Giving to Schools
WSVEF seeks high quality grant proposals that enrich the education of students in the White Salmon Valley School District. Grant funding through WSVEF comes from individual community member and corporate sponsor donations. It is our goal to honor the generosity of our supporters by investing in quality and innovative proposals to enrich student learning in our public schools. By funding exciting new opportunities in student learning, we hope to inspire additional donors.
The Foundation works closely with the school district and all grant applications must be approved by the school principal or district superintendent prior to submittal.
Grant Cycle Deadlines
WSVEF offers $40,000 in grant awards to our schools each year. Historically, this has been split into two $20K grant cycles. Starting in 2019, this will change to one annual grant cycle of $40,000 in the spring. Applications are due by midnight on the day of the grant deadline.
- 2019 Grant Cycle Deadline: March 18, 2019 $40K in awards (funds available late April)
Boeing STEM Grants
We are fortunate this school year (2018-19) to have additional funding available from Boeing for projects that focus on STEM. As of Oct 22, the Boeing STEM funds for 2018-19 have been awarded.
