Giving to Schools
WSVEF seeks high quality grant proposals that enrich the education of students in the White Salmon Valley School District. Grant funding through WSVEF comes from individual community member and corporate sponsor donations. It is our goal to honor the generosity of our supporters by investing in quality and innovative proposals to enrich student learning in our public schools. By funding exciting new opportunities in student learning, we hope to inspire additional donors.
The Foundation works closely with the school district and all grant applications must be approved by the school principal or district superintendent prior to submittal.
Standard Grant Cycle Deadlines
WSVEF offers $40,000 to our schools each year through two grant cycles each funded with $20,000. Applications are due by midnight on day of the grant deadline.
- Fall Grant Cycle Deadline: October 16, 2018 (funds available mid-December)
- Spring Grant Cycle Deadline: April 16, 2019 (funds available mid-June)
Boeing STEM Grants
We are fortunate this school year (2018-19) to have additional funding available from Boeing for projects that focus on STEM. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until all of the funds are granted. We have $2,226 remaining for 2018 STEM grants, and will have $7,000 available to fund projects in 2019.
