WSVEF Hires New Grant Writer
The White Salmon Valley Education Foundation (WSVEF) has hired Rita Pinchot as its new Grant Writer. Rita also serves as the Regional Prevention Coordinator for ESD 112, supporting mental health promotion, suicide prevention, and working to reduce youth substance abuse. Her prior work experience includes working with Families in Recovery and developing curriculum for parents to learn about Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). Rita is a skilled grant writer with experience working in our schools and a demonstrated dedication to helping our community build connections that support youth and their families. Rita lives in White Salmon with her husband and 2 children. The WSVEF is thrilled to welcome her to the team.
Over the past decade, the WSVEF has brought in over $2.5 million dollars to the White Salmon Valley School District through grant writing. An additional $500,000 has been awarded to our schools directly through the WSVEF’s biannual grant cycles. These efforts are possible thanks to generous donations from community members and business over the past 12 years. The WSVEF is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit corporation dedicated to enhancing the quality of public education within our community by creating a stable source of supplemental funding for curriculum enhancement and investment in our teachers. At least 25% of every donation goes to the WSVEF’s endowment fund, which will allow for continued grant funding into the future.
