Art classes are some of the most popular offerings at CHS, and this grant will expand the offerings available for students taking Foundations in Mixed Media, Intermediate/Advanced Media and Independent Art. The kiln and pottery wheel will supplement the existing clay equipment and allow the expansion of capacity in the art department. Adding a high-fire kiln to the program also allows teachers to teach real-world CTE skills that students are eager to learn.
