The WSVEF raises money through fundraisers such as the Gorge Grape Escape and through direct community donations. The funds we raise benefit our schools in three significant ways:
Invest in the future of our schools through our professionally managed Endowment.
Access outside funds by hiring grant writers to write grants for our schools and teachers.
Give $50,000 directly to the schools each year during our grant cycles.

Endowment Fund
Mengis Capital Management has managed our endowment fund since 2008. Our long term goal is to have $2M in the endowment fund to ensure a stable source of giving long into the future.
Fiscal Responsibility
Our Board prides itself on being fiscally responsible with the funds the community has entrusted to our organization. We have a strong history of managing our funds well. Matt Hanson from Proactive Management keeps our books in good order. Accountants from Friend & Reagan, CPA, work with our Treasurer to file our taxes.
