Join the White Salmon Valley Education Foundation (WSVEF) at the Gorge Grape Escape, where the 2013/2014 “We Root for Schools” Community Drive continues!
The annual fundraising gala will be held in the event room at Skyline Hospital on Saturday, October 5th, 2013 at 6pm. You’ll be able to root on students, as they demonstrate programs funded by the community via the Foundation. You’ll enjoy the fruits of old vine roots, with wines featured from local vintners AniChe Cellars, Jacob Williams Winery, and Domaine Pouillon. Then root through the auction catalogue, in search of the perfect item to bid on and buy. All proceeds go to help develop the roots of our children’s educations, and make our schools better than ever!
The evening begins with wine tasting and game playing. “Heads or Tails’ can win you a Canon EOS Rebel T3i 18MP digital SLR camera, provided by Columbia Gorge Title. Many wonderful prizes are up for grabs in the wine toss. Or take part in the “Match of the Titans”, supported by Underwood Fruit & Warehouse, to see who prevails for the evening… Arts or STEM… where everybody wins!
That will be followed by a delectable dinner provided by Henni’s, a dessert dash, and lots of action at the live auction. Items up for bid include amazing artworks, vintage Gorge photos, family getaways, and awesome sporting goods provided by North Sports, Slingshot and DaKine.
Tickets are $55 in advance and available at www.gorge-grape-escape.com. And for the first time you can also book a table of eight to sit together, so bring out your friends for an evening of fine food, fun, and festivities. Then “root” for our schools!
A special thanks goes to the evening’s business sponsors including Insitu; SDS Lumber; ICE; Centerpointe Community Bank; Custom Interface; Best Western PLUS Hood River Inn; Haskell Davies Dunn, PC; Proactive Financial Management; North Shore Medical Group; and Zepher Inc.
